Marty Craggill To Ride Boulder Motor Sports Racing Ducati 749R in 2007 AMA Formula Extreme Championship

Two time Australian Superbike Champion and AMA regular, Marty Craggill, will contest the 2007 AMA Formula Extreme championship onboard a Ducati 749R, for the newly established Boulder Motor Sports Racing.

Boulder Motor Sports Racing is the newest team to join the AMA Formula Extreme Championship and has complete support of team sponsors Boulder Motor Sports, Dunlop, STM, Pierobon Racing Frames, VP Fuels, Ohlins, Capit tire warmers, Akrapovic Exhausts, CM Composit, and Apex Autobody.

Brian Sharp, Team Manager, is certain that the team will offer a competitive mechanical package to challenge for the championship in 2007. With the proven talents of Craggill onboard the Ducati 749R throughout the AMA season, Sharp is confident that the newly formed teams sponsor support, experience and enthusiasm will bring the team success in 2007. “I believe the Boulder Motor Sports Ducati will be a competitive machine, and all of us here are looking forward to working with Marty Craggill in 2007.”

Brian continues by saying that" When we were outfitting the Boulder Motor Sports race shop, the Dynojet model 250i dynamometer was one of the first things we added. The easy to use Winpep7 dyno software allows us to get pinpoint accuracy with our tuning and fuel mapping. We know the Dynojet dyno will play a big role in us getting every last bit of power out of our Ducati 749R race bikes."

The Australian native has been training hard for months in preparation for his first Daytona 200 in March, and is excited to be back on a Ducati after doing a season in the World Superbike Championship. Craggill a familiar face amongst the AMA paddock, is looking forward to joining the Boulder Motor Sports Racing Ducati team, and arrives stateside for pre-season testing in a few weeks.

" I am honored to have the opportunity to ride for the Boulder Motor Sports Ducati Team this season, and look forward to racing the number 16 Ducati at Daytona in a few weeks time,” said Marty Craggill. “I’ve enjoyed racing in America, and am really looking forward to riding a competitive bike this season. I have high expectations for the team, and am very happy to have the chance to work with a great group of people."

Boulder Motor Sports Racing is looking to continue building momentum from their recent success at Daytona , where they ran Doug Polen on a Ducati 999R for the Race of Champions last October coming home with two National championships. This recent success inspired the team to pursue a full time AMA effort for 2007.
